Claimed by the king by Ava Night review

Hi, my lovely readers. I'm here again. Today's post is going to be a review of a new book that I found.

Claimed by the king by Ava Night is a sexy sifter story. This is going to be a reverse harem series and contains adult content. There are some trigger warnings, so if some of these bother you, don't read the book: Blood, violence and trafficking. There are M/F & F/F scenes and the practice of polyamory.

Claimed by the king is the first book in the On the Prowl series. Rest of the series is promised to be released later this summer.

Here is the blurb:
His touch awakened my body. His bite awakened my power…

I felt broken-hearted the day mother put me - her own daughter - up for sale in the Market of Mysteries. Then I felt fear when the powerful lion shifter Rajah purchased me for his harem. And when he took me to his bed chambers, I felt passion and pride, for being chosen as his mate.

But when he claimed me with his bite, I felt something else. Something I never felt before. Power…

It’s a power that terrifies me, a power that shouldn’t exist. I thought I was just a normal human girl. But now I know I’m something that is so much more… a pride-witch and an avatar of a goddess. Now I have the power to control the pride and shape the destiny of this kingdom. But that same power makes me a weapon to those who seek to hurt my mate. They think they can take me and use me for their own twisted ends.

But they’re wrong.

Because now I understand how to manipulate my enemies. I will use my power, my body, my sensuality, to distract them, while Rajah prowls the jungle searching for me.

And when my Rajah roars in fury, our enemies will know true fear...

And now to my review:

The book sucked me right in from the beginning. The storyline was great and different from other RH books I have read. There was a minor cliffhanger at the end. It made me want to read the next book right now. We have to wait for a few more weeks for the next one.
This book had many great twists and revealed secrets in it.

First of all, this book was, mostly, set in the jungles' of India. So, not in the modern world, most of us are used to. Loved the Indian influence on this story; the dresses, the Indian lore, etc.

There were other women in the harem but they weren't with the male lead character. I loved the FF action between all of the women. I'm interested to learn more about the women in the next book.

Not all of the males are in the first book and I can't wait to learn whom they are going to be. This is promised to be Reverse Harem, so hopefully more of that in the next books.

Saw little character development in this book but I'm excited to see where these characters are going to end up. Found them very lovable.

I will give this book 4/5 stars and will be excitingly waiting for the next books.
