⭐️ My rating: 4/5
I read through Savage
Revenge in one sitting; I just couldn’t put the book down. It was fast spicy
read before bed.
🧨 What hooked me
Cash Savage is a man
on a vendetta. His father was murdered, and he believes the daughter of the
rival family holds all the answers. So he kidnaps her. Jordyn Sterling: a
sharp-tongued CFO with fire in her veins and zero intention to back down. Their
chemistry is wild and addictive. Her sass meets every one of his controlling,
possessive moves head-on.
They fall hard
in a matter of days. The writing grasps your attention tight. Even though I
guessed the culprit early on, the twists and danger kept me flipping pages well
into the night.
👫 Characters & romance
- Cash is full of “daddy dom” energy, wrapped up in
vengeance, but he also has layers. His protectiveness over his brothers
(and soon, Jordyn) is intense and sometimes sweet.
- Jordyn is not your damsel in distress. Smart, bold,
and fearless, she brings both brains and bite to the table. She refuses to
be underestimated, and that resilience ignited the romantic sparks between
them.
Their banter is
snappy, spiced up, and humorous. I loved the interactions between these two
characters.
🔍 Plot & setting
Set against the
high-stakes world of Las Vegas casino dynasties, the book dives deep into mafia
rivalries, loyalty, and revenge. The Savage, Kingston, and Carver families
stand on shaky alliances soon after the Savage patriarch is killed. Cash and
his brothers launch an all-out mission, where Jordyn becomes collateral, and
then something more. The world building feels very realistic.
⚠️ Potential quibbles
- The romance accelerates at light speed, which
may feel emotionally premature to some. If you're more of a slow-burn
reader, you might need a minute to actually believe the connection.
But I myself like fast burn romance sometimes, I like how fast and intense
emotions can get.
- The “Daddy” kink vibe is front and centre.
Personally, I enjoy reading about that, but if that’s not your thing, it
could be a turn-off.
💬 Final thoughts
I loved this, despite
the fast timeline, the dynamic between Jordyn and Cash was compelling. The
laughs, the tension, the heat, they all made for a perfect escape from day to day
life.
I gave it 4/5 stars,
because while not flawless, it’s a damn addicting debut to the Savage Sins
series. I’m already itching to read more about Cash’s brothers.
Huge thanks to Kate
Oliver for the ARC copy.
❤️ Bottom line
If you’re craving a
spicy, fast-moving enemies-to-lovers Mafia romance set in sin-city Vegas with
strong, unapologetic characters, and enough intensity to knock your socks off, you’ll
want to curl up with Savage Revenge stat.
